Luis Enrique Santana Padilla is a Communication Professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI), Chile, where he directs the Fostering Digital Citizenship programme. He is also an Adjunct Researcher at BAND (Centre for the Well-Being and Development of Adolescents and Children in the Digital Era). His research examines digital citizenship, children’s digital well-being, and the individual and social implications of emerging technologies in society. As part of Global Kids Online Chile, he has led qualitative research with children and adolescents, exploring digital practices, risks, resilience and participation. He holds a PhD in Communication and an MPA from the University of Washington.
