Marcelo Pitta is a statistician with a Master’s in Statistics from the National School of Statistical Science in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Marcelo is the quantitative methods coordinator at the Regional Centre of Studies on Information and Communication Technologies under the auspices of UNESCO (Cetic.br), and is responsible for sampling design and data analysis at Cetic.br. Marcelo works at the statistical research centre CERIS (Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques), which produces statistics for the Catholic Church in Brazil, and SEADE, Sao Paulo’s State Statistical Office, and others.
