Magdalena Claro is an Assistant Professor and Academic Director of the Observatory on Digital Education Practices at the School of Education, Catholic University of Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). She is also a research member of the Centre for the Study of Policies and Practices in Education (El Centro de Estudios de Políticas y Prácticas en Educación, CEPPE-UC). She is a sociologist, with a PhD from the Catholic University of Chile and an MA from Stanford University, USA. Her research interests are related to the digital society and new divides, teaching and learning in digital contexts and development of digital skills. Magdalena’s current research projects are in the area of digital inclusion, the effects of the internet on new generations, and teaching and learning strategies in digital environments.
