Verónica Donoso (PhD) is the Executive Director of INHOPE. Verónica has more than 13 years of academic and professional experience in the field of children online safety and is a strong advocate for the need to better protect and empower children online through effective and coordinated multi-stakeholder approaches. Throughout her career, Verónica has advised a number of institutions including the UN, the European Commission, the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA), and the World Federation of Advertisers. She has developed methodologies to assess the compliance of industry-based self-regulatory initiatives, such as the Safer Social Networking Principles for the EU and the EU Pledge. She currently serves on the International Advisory Board of the WePROTECT Global Alliance and on the Advisory Board of the EU-funded MANDOLA project on monitoring and detecting hate speech.
